North Idaho

When daughters, Suzanne and Sonja became school-age, Kenny and Barbara escaped the urban environment of L.A. for the mountains, lakes, and forests of the Sierra Nevada at Lake Tahoe in the small, pleasant Incline Village where life was good for 30 years. But, the girls had grown up and left to follow their stars while the village had gradually changed from friendly to trendy so K & B did it again -- sold out and ran away in a motor home to find a new place somewhere west of the plains and north of the deserts.

The northern Rocky Mountains of north Idaho fit the requirements of mountains, lakes and forests with the added feature of being 100 miles from scenic British Columbia and Alberta Canada. The excellent boating area of the Pacific Northwest that K & B have enjoyed in the past is less than 6 hours drive. The whole area in any direction including western Montana and Wyoming is unsurpassed for scenic beauty. But people make the place and here the folks tend to be remarkably unpretentious, friendly and polite, respecting old-fashioned values treasured by Kenny & Barbara.
