Analysis

Bell has the prototypical size and speed combination for an OLB. He possesses impressive game speed and explosive power. He also shows good instincts in locating the ball carrier and takes the proper angles when in pursuit. Bell is a high-impact tackler who is capable of jarring the ball loose on every play. He has the speed and range to be effective in pass coverage; however, his hips are tight, and he needs to become more fluid in his transition. During Senior Bowl practices, Bell appeared stiff and struggled changing directions before he went down with a left knee injury. He did not participate the remainder of the week. In conclusion, Bell matured on and off the field as a senior. He took on a leadership role with the team and led by example with his on-field performance. Many scouts project Bell to move to ILB, while he appears to be a perfect fit at OLB in a 3-4 defense.
