NFL Draft           2008 Draft Player Analysis

Text Box: Center Rank 5 Rating 5.5
Jeremy Zuttah
Ht: 6-3	Wt: 295

Analysis

Zuttah must improve his bulk and add some mass. He lacks ideal quickness, even though he is not a very large player. He was named 1st Team All Big-East after starting ?? games. He started all 13 games in 2006 and was 1st Team All Big-East. In 2005, he started 9 of 12 games at left guard, missing three games with an ankle sprain. In 2004, he started 5 of 9 games, 2 at offensive tackle and 3 at offensive guard; he missed two games because of a knee sprain. As a run blocker, Zuttah takes good angles and sustains his blocks. He does not play with great leverage, too often bending at the waist. Shows good explosion with his punch, and is a competitor who plays with tenacity. He is very versatile, having played virtually every position of the offensive line for the Scarlet Knights. His lack of ideal size and footwork constitute a move to the inside. In conclusion, Zuttah is a highly consistent, experienced college player who may have reached his peak. His best opportunity to carve a niche at the next level will likely come at center.
