2300 YEAR PROPHECY

This is an ongoing study that will be updated as I work on it.

This is the longest time prophecy in the Bible.

To understand why this is the longest prophecy in the Bible, you have to know that a day equals one year.

(Ref. Numbers 14:34, Ezekiel 4:6)

Dan 9: 24 Seventy weeks are determined (cut off) upon thy people and upon thy holy city

1. to finish the transgression,

a. Jesus came to show us the right way to worship God

b. The chosen people of God were polluting the worship.

2. and to make an end of sins,

a. with Jesus it is possible to stop sinning.

3. and to make reconciliation for iniquity,

a. Jesus paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross to reconcile us back to God.

4. to bring in everlasting righteousness,

a. By Jesus overcoming sin in the flesh He brought in righteousness

b. By the power of Jesus we can overcome sin.

5. and to seal up the vision, and prophecy,

a. by Jesus coming He fulfilled the prophecy.

6. and to anoint the most Holy.

a. The only "most Holy" I know of is Jesus Christ.

b. Yes, the temple in Jerusalem did have a Most Holy place

Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandant to rebuild Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks (62);

1. Seven weeks = 49 years

a. From 457 BC to 408 BC

b. That is how long it took to rebuild Jerusalem

2. Threescore and two weeks = 434 years

a. From 408 BC to 27 AD

b. Till the Anointing of Messiah the Prince.

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
