GIOIA FAMILY GENEALOGY
| In 1908, Donato and Benardina Gioia boarded
the Venizzia in Naples Italy. They came with three small children, one which was Linda's
Grandmother Angelina. As most emigrants to America, they where looking for a better life.
They arrived at the Port of New York and entered through Ellis Island and travled by land
to their new home in Scottdale, Westmoreland County Pennsylvania, where had four more
children.
