LV Gondola Roster 1888 ORER
Gondolas in the period I model (1888) generally had low sides like LV 7126 in the table below. I thought cars like
LV 7126 would be called flat cars because the sides seem so inadequate. However,
note the set of stakes for taller loads. Only later in the century were high-sided gons the norm. I built the two
cars with high sides before I knew this was probably not correct;
I'll stick with them until I find photos for building more accurate models.
