In some cases, Northwest Reading Clinic may recommend beginning treatment with the Fast ForWord R family of programs. These CD-ROM and Internet-based programs significantly improve critical language skills.
These programs draw on years of research in neuroscience to achieve proven results with children and adults. Many students with language problems experience language gains of one and a half years in just four to eight weeks using a Fast ForWord R program. These programs were specifically designed to move children along the language-to-literacy continuum. In the classroom, these children often fall behind their peers in vocabulary, spelling, reading and writing. After completing Fast ForWord R, students may proceed with our other programs in order to maximize the language gains they have made.
