Tomahawk Lions Pow! Wow! Days

Tomahawk Lions Thrilla On The Grilla

Tomahawk Lions

Located in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, we take pride in our involvement in Tomahawk.  Our food, refreshment, and popcorn stands are very popular at many community events such as Main Street Memories (May) and the Fall Ride (September).  All of our profits go back to Tomahawk.

Each year on July 3 and 4, our club hosts Tomahawk Lions Pow! Wow! Days featuring our famous Lions' barbecue chicken, a parade, fireworks at dusk, live entertainment, raffles, water ski show, and much, much more.  (Click on the link above for schedules of events and activities.)

Thrilla On The Grilla in August is a contest between local businesses by preparing ribs for the top award (see 2009 results below).  A new event, Bowling On Ice, was introduced in March 2011.  Both were huge successes and everyone had a great time.  Next year's events will be even better!

This year will mark the 28th anniversary of the Fall Ride.  For the past several years, the Tomahawk Lions have led the Thunder Parade on Friday night by pairing the visually impaired with members of the Northern Lights Harley Owners Group or other willing drivers on the scenic 20 mile ride.  Contact Orrin Kolberg at o.kolberg@frontier.com for additional information.

Each year we hand out scholarships of $2,000 each to four Tomahawk High School Seniors.  The 2011 recipients are Jenna Koth, Elyse Graeber, Alyssia Alsteen, and Alexander King.  Congratulations to all!

In September, we hold our annual Appreciation Dinner at which people who have volunteered their time/services are treated to dinner and entertainment.

We also provide financial assistance to many organizations in the Tomahawk area.  If you are in need of any service or community assistance, please submit your request in writing to:  Lion Secretary Shelley Schoen, PO Box 754, Tomahawk, WI  54487.

Used eye glasses may be dropped off at various businesses in the Tomahawk area.  Contact Lion Don Daenicke at

PO Box 754, Tomahawk, WI  54487 for additional information.

If you or anyone you know are interested in becoming actively involved in our community, Tomahawk Lions need you

and your friends.  Please phone Lion Mark Eisenman at 715-453-3698 for more information.  You can click on General Membership Application to print an application for you and your friends.  When completed, send to Lion Mark Eisenman, PO Box 754, Tomahawk, WI  54487.

The Randy J Hoegger Memorial Fund

Randy J Hoegger

1952 - 2008

Many of the items in use today (picnic tables, tents, white tables, freezer, trailer) as well as other donations to the Tomahawk Lions were made possible by The Randy J Hoegger Menorial Fund.  Randy was very community minded and his memory will live on in our hearts.
