This property and structure was once The Cornell Hotel, established in Guysville in 1875.  The old hotel stands high above the street and highway overlooking the Hocking River.  Hotel guests could effortlessly observe river trade & shipping from the double balconies and 16 rooms.   Sometime after taking ownership of the hotel, some 50 years ago, Professor Borchard christened the structure “The Great Lakes and Hocking River Navigation Company”, the name it retains to this day.  50 years accumulation are stowed in every room, in every closet and in every chamber of the building. Cannot begin to list all which must be sold….Brief listing follows.
