Past Strauss Shelties

Reilly
(1987-2003)

with Minet

Reilly was a lost dog that I took in around 1987. According to my vet, he was approximately 9 months old.

My Tillicum students thought he was mine. We made every effort to find his owner, but to no avail. He may have house hopped every two weeks and lived out of gabarge cans inbetween. He lived a cushy life after joining our family. Reilly lived to be 16 years old.

S'Koshi
(1982 - 1996)

Mom's sheltie Amber as a puppy with S'Koshi
Puppy Amber was Mom and Dad's sheltie when they lived on Whidbey Island. When all grown up, she was a very strong atheletic sheltie, much like Nicky is now! S'Koshi and Amber would play on the beach and go for long walks. Neighbors thought S'Koshi was Amber's mom! She sometimes acted like it!

S'Koshi came to me from a Canadian breeder, Irene Oishi. The Ashby's delivered her to me and, at the time, I had no idea who they were. They are now good friends and training buddies. My mother often referred to S'Koshi as the Grand Dam as she was so sophisticated and gentle.

Tippy
(1957-1972)
Tippy was my families childhood Sheltie. She was smaller than my other Shelties but just as sweet and loyal. She joined the family when I was a 1-year-old and lived for appropximately 15 years.
