TOWN OF NEW HAVEN,ADAMS COUNTY

REGULAR MONTHLY TOWN BOARD MEETING

JUNE 18, 2009

 

 

 

The Regular Monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Mike Julson, with all Town Board members in attendance.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and this meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law.  Motion by Brad Seiler/Leo Musiedlak to accept the agenda as printed/posted for this meeting.  M/C.  Minutes of the May 21, 2009  regular monthly Town Board meeting were read by the Town Clerk and approved as printed with a motion from Seiler/Musiedlak.  M/C.  The May 2009 financial report was given by the Town Treasurer with the following balances as of May 31, 2009:  NOW (checking) account-$2,494.81, Berry Ridge Parking Fee account-$3,156.00, Money Market (reserve savings) account-$75,377.08 and Certificate of Deposit remains at $19,896.65.  Motion or approve this report by Seiler/Musiedlak. M/C.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS:

After discussing the safety issues of reversing the stop signs on Golden Avenue and Third Avenue, Leo Musiedlak made a motion to rescind his motion of May 21, 2009 to make Golden Avenue a thru street and placing the stop signs on Third Avenue of that intersection, the decision on where to place the stop signs was postponed indefinitely, second by Brad Seiler. This motion was passed unanimously, 3 yes - 0 no.  M/C.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Applications were reviewed for Operator’s Licenses, cigarette Licenses, Class A & Class B beer and liquor for the following locations:  Club 23, The Cove, Lake Mason Campground, Antiques and Lace Inn, B&B and Wagon Wheel Campground.  Musiedlak moved to grant these licenses, second by Seiler. M/C.

 

 

The bills due for payment were read by the Town Clerk and approved or payment with a motion by Musiedlak/Seiler. M/C.

 

 

Motion by Seiler/Musiedlak to adjourn this meeting at 7:45 p.m. until July 16, 2009 at 5:45 p.m.  to begin the process of interviewing potential assessors.  M/C.
