TOWN OF NEW HAVEN

REGULAR MONTHLY TOWN BOARD MEETING

DECEMBER 21, 2006

 

The regular monthly town board meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Robert Krause, with all board members in attendance and the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law. Pledge of allegiance was recited.  Motion by Myron Byers/Jim Beard to approve the meeting agenda.  M/C.  November 2006 meeting minutes were read by the clerk and approved with a motion by Beard/Byers.  M/C.  Treasurer’s report was given with the following balances as of November 30, 2006:  NOW checking account-$14,784.37, MM savings-$50,551.37 and Berry Ridge Parking fees-$11,157.89. Motion to accept as presented by Byers/Beard. M/C.

Old Business:

Motion by Robert Krause/Byers to table the EMS contracts until a special town board meeting scheduled by the board for December 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m.  The Divine Savior contract should be in the board’s hands at that time.  M/C.

Motion by Byers/Beard to reimburse the transfer-site attendant for using his own vehicle during the winter months to keep warm, $10.00 per month for 6 months.  M/C.

 

New Business:

An Operator’s License application for Virginia Ann Berres was approved with a motion made by Beard/Byers.  M/C.  Election officials were nominated for a one year term ending December 31, 2007:  Betty Licitar (chief insp.), Anna Davis (chief insp.), Grace Schmidt (alt. Chief insp.), Dennis Schmitz, Jay & Michele Hammerly, Dona Carlson, Karen Lentz and Audrey Blomgren, and other alternates appointed by the clerk as deemed necessary. Motion to approve nominees by Beard/Byers.  M/C.  Jason Lindner explained to the town board what he would like to do with the ditch at the intersection of Glen Ct.and Third Avenue.  The town board had no reservations, and advised Mr. Lindner to go ahead as long as it didn’t change the water-flow to cause a problem with either roadway.  Motion by Beard/Byers to schedule the Financial audit of records at 6:00 p.m., caucus at 6:30 p.m. and regular monthly town board meeting at 7:00 p.m. on January 18, 2007. M/C.  The bills were read by the town clerk and approved as presented with a motion by Byers/Beard. M/C.  Motion by Byers/Beard to adjourn at 7:52 p.m. until the special town board meeting December 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m.
