Old Business:

Town Board members discussed the intersection of Golden Avenue and Third Avenue that presently has stop signs on Golden Avenue and Third Avenue is a thru street.  A motion was made by Musiedlak/Seiler to have a Resolution prepared changing the stop signs at that intersection to Third Avenue and making Golden Avenue a thru street.  These stop signs will be flagged temporarily in the future to warn motorists of the impending change.  The Town’s legal counsel will be asked to review the Land Division/Subdivision Ordinance that the Plan Commission has been working on, this was approved with a motion by Seiler/Musiedlak. M/C.

New Business:

Cathy Etter and two Captains from the Divine Savior EMS were present to answer any questions and concerns that the Town Board or residents may have had with service to the area.  Several concerns that the EMS brought up were 1) address signs that are not double sided and having to slow down in front of every sign to check for addresses, 2) the lack of communication between Adams County dispatch as far as wrong directions and poor reception.  The municipality will attempt to find the best maps possible from the County and extend them onto Divine Savior.  There were five (5) bids submitted for brushing and mowing of Town Roads, they are as follows:

S. White & Sons, Lyndon Station for mowing at $110.00 per hr.

Adams County Hwy Dept. for mowing at $132.00 per hr.

Adams County Hwy Dept. for brushing at $165.00 per hr.

Rhinehart Construction, Adams, WI for $105.00 per hr.

Thome Enterprises, Oxford, WI  at $65.00 per hr., entire job not to exceed $3,500.

Motion by Musiedlak/Seiler to accept the bid from Thome Enterprises for the first mowing, single swath of 5’ to hopefully be completed prior to July 4th weekend. M/C.  Poll workers that received an increase in hourly wages that was approved by the electors at the Annual Town Meeting was also approved by the Town Board allowing Chief Inspectors from $8.50 p/hr to $9.50p/hr and election officials from $7.50 p/hr. to $8.50 p/hr. with a motion made by Seiler/Musiedlak.  M/C.

The bills for payment were presented by the Town Clerk and approved as read by Seiler/Musiedlak.  M/C.  Motion to adjourn at 8:10 p.m. until June 18, 2009 by Seiler/Musiedlak.  M/C.
