MONTHLY NEW HAVEN TOWN BOARD
MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 15, 2005
The regular monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Robert Krause, with all Board members present. Meeting was in compliance with the open meeting laws.
Minutes of the regular monthly Town Board meeting of September 15, 2005 were read by the Clerk and approved with a motion by Jim Beard/Myron Byers. M/C. Minutes of the special Town Board meeting of August 31, 2005 were read by the Clerk and approved with a motion from Byers/Beard. M/C.
Treasurer’s report was accepted as presented with the following balances of August 31, 2005: NOW account (checking) $ 895.35, Money Market (reserve savings) $ 136,305.69, Berry Ridge (mobile parking fees) $ 6,136.71, with a motion from Beard/Byers. M/C.
The Town Board approved a resolution # 2005-4R brought forward by the Adams County Smoke-free Coalition, requiring “no-smoking” in municipal owned buildings with a motion by Krause/Byers. M/C. All Board members signed the resolution.
Ordinance # 2005-2 pertaining to restrictions on a Gentlemen’s Club IF ever a proposal would come before the Township, was adopted by a motion from Beard/Byers. M/C.
Rural Insurance representative, Joelle Brown reviewed the coverage on the Town Hall, transfer-site and employees with the board members. Discussion followed and Ms. Brown suggested that when the Town Hall improvements have been completed to contact her and she would take appropriate pictures and raise the coverage limits accordingly.
Resolution # 2005-3R calling for a Public Hearing at 6:00 p.m. on October 20, 2005 to adopt the New Haven Comprehensive Plan was approved with a motion by Beard/Byers. M/C. The public hearing will be prior to the regular monthly October Board meeting.
The bills were read by the Clerk and approved as presented with a motion by Beard/Byers. M/C. Motion at 7:40 p.m. to adjourn until October 20, 2005 by Byers/Beard. M/C.
