Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting
Minutes of September 16, 2010
The Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Mike Julson. All Town Board members were in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the meeting was in compliance with the Open Meeting Law. Leo Musiedlak moved to certify agenda posting and approve the agenda for this meeting, seconded by Brad Seiler. M/C. Minutes of the Regular Monthly Town Board meeting of August 19, 2010 were approved with a motion by Seiler/Musiedlak. M/C. The financial report as of August 31, 2010 includes the following balances: NOW checking-$2,080.22, Berry Ridge Parking fees-$6,003.03 M/M savings-$110,787.45 and Certificate of Deposit-$25,268.93, motion to approve by Musiedlak/Seiler. M/C.
OLD BUSINESS:
The Plan Commission recommended to the Town Board that the recently adopted Land Division Ordinance be updated/revised to include changes suggested by the Town Attorney to comply with changes in the State Statutes that should be in compliance by January 2011 to have the LDO be enforceable. These changes do not alter the original intent of the ordinance. Motion by Musiedlak/Seiler to hold a Public Hearing prior to adoption. M/C. Plan Commission Chairperson Joslin mentioned that the Town’s Comprehensive Plan is in need of revisions also to be consistent with the Town’s Ordinances and perhaps both Public Hearings could be held prior to the November Monthly Town Board meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
Pat Hickey brought the Certified Survey Map before the Plan Commission on Monday, September 13, 2010 which is requested in the Land Division Ordinance. The PC stated the lot met all criteria of the LDO with it meeting the 2 (two) acre minimum, the 100 (one hundred) ft. or more of frontage to the road, and the 4 (four) to 1 (one) depth ratio and minimum lot width. A motion was made by Seiler/Musiedlak to accept the recommendation of the PC and approve the CSM. M/C. It was decided that 2 (two) Town Board members would try to attend the Road Maintenance Seminar hosted by Adams County at Carlson’s Rustic Ridge on Friday, October 1, 2010. Chairperson Julson volunteered to host the quarterly Adams County WTA meeting in Adams, WI with refreshments on Friday, October 8, 2010. Chris Murphy of Adams County Land & Water Conservation Department gave a presentation on proposed restoration to Big Spring Creek. Projected dates for this project are: Complete design for Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources review and approval in Fall of 2010, approval during the winter of 2010 - 2011, project going out for bids in late Winter-early Spring of ‘11, with construction activities in Summer of 2011 and possible completion in July of ‘11.
Disbursements were read by the Town Clerk and accepted for payment with a motion by Seiler/Musiedlak. M/C. This meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. until October 21, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with a motion by Seiler/Musiedlak. M/C.
