TOWN OF NEW HAVEN

SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

AUGUST 23, 2007-7:00 P.M.

 

The special town board meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mike Julson with all town board members and the clerk present.  The meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law and the pledge of allegiance was recited.  Motion by Watson/Beard to approve the agenda.  M/C.

 

Lenny Watson moved to approve the Class “B” fermented malt beverage license for Antiques and Lace Inn B&B with the following conditions agreed upon by the town and owner of the establishment:

 

          *  Kishah Walters will not display any neon signs on her property at 3771 County Road P, Oxford, WI  53952.

 

          *  Walters will not allow patrons or guests to consume beer or beverages permitted by her license, on the pond that is located on the property.  Guests will be able to consume permitted beverages at all other locations on the property.

 

          *  Walters will not serve permitted beverages to anyone who is not a B&B guest or a guest attending a planned event on the premises, thus meaning “walk-in” clientele, unless such person plans to stay at the B&B.

 

A second to the above motion was made by Mike Julson, with Jim Beard opposing.  M/C.  Motion by Watson/Julson to prorate the Class “B” license from the original fee of $100.00 to $85.00.  M/C.    It was suggested to the town clerk to place the “review of  municipal attorney resumes,” on the September 2007 agenda.

 

Jim Beard moved to adjourn at 7:20 p.m., second by Lenny Watson.  M/C.
