TOWN OF NEW HAVEN-ADAMS COUNTY

REGULAR MONTHLY TOWN BOARD MEETING

JULY 16, 2009-7:00 P.M.

 

The Regular Monthly Town Board meeting was called to order at 7:oo p.m. by Chairperson Mike Julson, with all present except Supervisor II, Leo Musiedlak.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and this  meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law.  Moved by Brad Seiler/Mike Julson to accept the agenda as printed/posted for this meeting. M/C.  Minutes of the June 18, 2009 regular monthly Town Board meeting and the June 28, 2009 special Town Board meeting were read by the clerk and approved as printed with a motion by Seiler/Julson. M/C.  The June 2009 financial report was given by the Town Treasurer with the following balances as of June 30, 2009: NOW (checking) account-$2,984.15, Berry Ridge Parking account-$3,786.95, Money Market account-$71,884.38 and Certificate of Deposit-$19,976.09. Moved by Seiler/Julson to approve this report as printed. M/C.

 

OLD BUSINESS;

There was no Old Business stated on this meeting’s  agenda.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

A motion was made by Seiler to withhold the installation of the culvert on Golden Court in Big Spring Creek until completion of Phase ! (end of August 2009) of the stream restoration by the department of Adams County Land & Water.  Second by Julson. M/C.  The permit to place the culvert in Big Spring Creek at Golden Court was issued to the Town of New Haven on July 14, 2009 by the  Adams County Planning & Zoning administrator.

 

Accumulated bills  were presented for payment and approved with a motion by Seiler/Julson. M/C.

Moved by Seiler/Julson to adjourn at 7:40 p.m. until August 20, 2009. M/C.

Note:  At 5:45 p.m. members of the Town Board  arranged to interview four of the seven proposals submitted for the Assessor’s position, they were Hart Appraisals , Tomah, WI, Gardner Appraisal, McFarland, WI, Rigelmann Appraisal, Warrens, WI and Associated Appraisalswith offices in Hurley, Lake Geneva & Appleton, WI.  No decisions were made at this time and this  item will be placed on a future agenda.
