Lawrence may have met Elsie in Rhode Island where he went to school for mechanics degree.
Lawrence had a World War I registraton card. Other information on the card was that he had a wife and child.It had to have been Elsie and Harold Robert.

Private services for Lawrence Quinlisk, Sr., 78, of 373 Noble Ave., former State Trade School instructor, who died Tuesday in his home, will take place tomorrow in the Louis A. Abriola and Son funeral home, 426 East Washington Ave. The Rev. John W. Olson, pastor of the Park Street Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be a the convenience of the family.
Born in Gardner, Mass., Mr. Quinlisk had been a resident of Bridgeport many years. He was an instructor at the State Trade school on Kossuth street before it became the Bullard Havens Regional vocational training school.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Quinlisk, three sons, Harold Quinlisk of Bridgeport, Raymond Quinlisk of Liberty, N.Y., and Lawrence Quinlisk Jr. of Detroit, Michigan; six daughters, Mrs. Marie Rentz of Easton, Mrs. Arlyne Luckner of Winter Haven, Fla., Mrs. Laura Fields and Mrs. Claire Korn both of Bridgeport, Mrs. Bertha Johnston of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. June Gorham of Woodbury; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Patriquin of Gardner, Mass., and Mrs. Laura McMurray of Fitchburg, Mass., 20 grandchildren, fice great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Notes on his first marriage: According to the great grand daughter of Lawrence, after having Homer, his wife Ida died two weeks after she gave birth. Lawrence gave Homer to Ida's family to raise and he left. I don't know if he went to New York or to Connecticut.

Private services and burial for Mrs. Elsie Gravlin Quinlisk, of 373 Noble Avenue, widow of Lawrence Quinlisk, who died Tuesday in Milford Heights nursing home, will take place Thursday.
Mrs. Quinlisk was born in Providenced, R.I., and was a Bridgeport resident for 50 years.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Quinlisk of Milford, Raymond Quinlisk of Swan Lake, N.Y., And Lawrence Quinlisk of Detroit, Michigan, six daughters, Mrs. Marie Rentz of Easton, Mrs. Arlyne Luckner of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Berta Johnston of Kingman, Ariz., Mrs. June Gorham of Woodbury, and Mrs. Claire Korn and Mrs. Laura Fields, both of Milfod; a brother, Leo Gravlin, of Bridgeport; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
