BACK
How do your Online Greeting Cards work?
A Greeting Card is a web page that is created when you fill out and
submit the postcard form. We send an email to the recipient and she
will be informed that a postcard is waiting for her in our post
office. You can even overwrite our standard email message or add some
text of your own.
BACK
Can I enhance my postcards with a picture or music
file from my personal computer?
Yes. Please upload the file to our server. We can't take it from your
PC. To upload a file just click the "Your own picture or
music" link in the "Special Features" box at our home
page.
BACK
When will my postcards be discarded?
Our postal clerk discards postcards 4 weeks after they were sent (not
written). Scheduled cards will therefore be stored on our server for
up to 3 months.
BACK
How do I check on my card to see if it has been sent or picked
up?
Non-scheduled cards and cards scheduled for delivery on the current
date are being sent immediately. Most cards will therefore reach the
recipient's mailbox within less than 5 minutes.
Cards scheduled for delivery on a future date are being sent
between 02:00 and 07:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. Cards to Asia and
Australia reach their recipients late at night. Just select the date
minus 1 day if you send to destinations far east.
We'll send you an email notification when the recipient picks up
your card. Exceptions:
- You unchecked the "Confirm Delivery" box when
you wrote the card
- You did not enter your correct email address (sender address)
- You already picked up the card yourself. You won't receive a
second notification.
- Multiple recipients: You will be notified about the first pickup
only.
BACK
Can I install this postcard system on my own Web
site?
Yes, you can have a fully customized Greeting Card service on your Web
site. Its free and no programming is required! Just put our
"magic link" on one of your pages. Postcards are very
effective in promoting your Web site because there is a link to it on
each card.
BACK
Where can I log in to change my registered greeting
card site?
Here's your Control Panel. Please
bookmark this page.

Your Reservations and Privacy Concerns
I can't believe this service is free.
Believe it or not, writing and reading our Online Greeting Cards is
free. Operating a Greeting Card site isn't free, of course. We
therefore need to display ads on the site.
BACK
Can you track the sender of anonymous cards?
Now and then our system gets abused to send threatening or otherwise
offending cards. Of course there is a fake name and email address on
those postcards. However, we log the card's time and claim numbers as
well as the sender's IP address. So if the culprit's Internet Service
Provider is co-operatative (they will support criminal
investigations), these data can be used to find out their real
identity. Please report all abuses to abuse@all-yours.net.
BACK
Do you record names and email addresses etc.?
As a TRUSTe certified web site we
fully respect your privacy. Please consult our Privacy Policy.
BACK
Will there be any ads on my greeting card?
No. Its your private card. That's why we don't add
advertisements to it. Most other greeting card sites on the web have
ads on the actual cards. You even cannot control which advertisement
will show up there.
BACK
Can unauthorized users read my cards?
No. Please consult our Privacy Policy.
BACK
How about computer viruses and Greeting Cards?
Our program eliminates possibly malicious code from a postcard before
it is saved on our server. Also, computer viruses can't be transmitted
with a postcard, because we do not transmit executable binaries to
your computer. However, some anti virus programs may mix up the data
in images and music files. So you can safely disregard all virus
warnings that may pop up when you read or write cards at our web site.

I'm concerned about cookies. Are they really
necessary?
Please consult our Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting
I can't find the postcard that was sent to me.
We'll help you find it. Please send email to missing@all-yours.net.
BACK
When I return to a form some or all of my input is
lost or has changed. Why?
You seem to be using a very old browser like Internet Explorer 2.x or
3.x. These browsers do not save inputs when you click the browser's
BACK button to return to a form. We implemented a work-around on some
pages. Please don't use the browser's BACK button if there is a BACK
button on the actual postcard form.
Netscape and Internet Explorer 4.0 or better automatically save all
your inputs. Please upgrade.
BACK
Does this program work with AOL or WebTV?
Yes. Be sure that you have the latest version of AOL and WebTV. Their
new browsers support most features of our program.
BACK
I can't hear the postcard music. Does your site
require special software?
First of all, you need special hardware (a sound card and speakers)
and driver software to play music on a computer. To hear music on the
World Wide Web you may also need a browser "plug-in". Latest
versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer have music plug-ins on
board and there should be no problem to play the music at our site. To
take advantage of advanced features you may want to install a plug-in
anyway. We recommend the free Crescendo
MIDI plug-in because at our web site Crescendo supports
"streaming audio" (play music while it loads).
BACK
I wanted to submit a form but there was no submit
button.
If Netscape (maybe other browsers, too) runs into memory problems, it
simply doesn't display the submit buttons. You need to make more
memory available (close other windows/programs) and reload the page.
BACK
Sometimes your program is way too slow. Can't you
make it faster?
You are suffering from the World Wide Wait (slow Net traffic). The
execution time of all our web programs is less than one fourth of a
second.

Your Suggestions
You should add music from ...
Unlike other postcard services on the Web we take copyrights very
seriously. That's why we offer original music with composer's
permission. We can't offer recent popular songs at our Web site. If
your favorite song is available on the web you can enter its Web
address (URL) into the "Custom Music" input field (Step 2 of
the postcard creation process). Please note that most music files on
the web are copyrighted.
BACK
You should add more pictures of ...
Our Picture Gallery features more than 2000 photos, animations and
clip arts. We constantly add new pictures. If your favorite image is
available on the web you can enter its Web address (URL) into the
"Custom Image" input field (Step 1 of the postcard creation
process). Please note that most images on the web are copyrighted.
