SVO Toys

No, your eyes are
not deceiving you - the hood of this car says "5.0
TURBO". Yet it has the SVO hood, rear sail panels,
and bi-wing spoiler. If you were crazy enough, you could
even imagine those wheels look quite like SVO wheels...
I'm trying to find when it was made. I thought it was
rather interesting - now if I can keep my nephews away
from it.

Here's a model that was made in the late 80's. It is
unknown how many SVO's were built with T-tops and they
have been seen. They didn't come from the factory like
this and most likely were Executives at Ford who had the
work done at a local shop.
This would be an 85.5 or 86 SVO due to the flush
headlights. Interesting piece.

Here's another SVO model made by MPC. This would be an
'84 or '85 Mustang SVO. No sunroof. Notice that all SVO's
have antennas. The fenders are unique to the SVO due to
the revised suspension geometry and there was no room in
the fender for an electric antenna. Also the front bumper
cover is unique to the SVO. There are all kinds of things
unique to the SVO.
