Personal geodatabase, digitized Sanborn Map roads, year 1920
The data set represented by this matadata consists of
geospatial and attribute information for roads located
in Charlottesville, Virginia that were originally mapped
by the Sanborn Map Company in the year 1920 (the data set
is specific for the year 1920). Each road represented in
the personal geodatabase has attribute information that
indicates road name, type and suffix. The roads were
digitized using a scanned image that was georeferenced
using a digital orthophoto.
The data set was created for the purpose of providing specific
street address information and to set up reference data for a
geocoding service.
The data contained herein is complete and there will be no future updates.
