Historic Mission 100 Years Old
I first wrote a version in 1994, the 150th anniversary of the founding of a mission among the Kalispel Indians.
In 1994 there were no newspaper articles noting the historical event.
I am very pleased to be able to discuss this topic so close to where it happened and where I grew up.
Remembering the story of St. Ignatius Mission among the Kalispels is worthwhile to try to set the record straight about this history and to prompt further investigation and discussion.
