ALSTON (son of Christopher ALSTON
& Mary WADDINGTON) was born about 1820 in England. He died
on 30 Dec 1897 in Randolph County, IL. He is buried in Coulterville
Cemetery in Coulterville, IL.
Andrew came to New York at the age of 18 arriving on 21
May 1838. He departed through the port of Liverpool on the Ship
"Pennsylvania." Andrew was on the same Ship as
James Duckworth.
Andrew has the father of Emma Marie Alston who married James Duckworth's
son William James Duckworth.
Andrew was a meat cutter. He owned a two-story
hotel in Coulterville, IL. He was appointed Coulterville, IL's town constable
and street commissioner sometime in the 1870's, probably in 1874. |

married Mary VAN BRUNT, daughter of Isaac VAN BRUNT
& Unknown, on 26 Mar 1846 in Randolph County, IL by by her
father, Isaac Van Brunt, minister of the Gospel. Mary was born in 1822
in Pennsylvania.
Her father was born in Holland and her mother was probably
born in Connecticut.

14 Dec 1915 in Tilden, IL. She was buried on 16 Dec 1915 in Coulterville
Cemetery in Coulterville, IL. She died in the home of her brother, John
Alston (from her obit). Phoebe never married. Nothing more is known about
her.
Sarah ALSTON was born about
1857 in Randolph County, IL. She may have marriage Albert FAIRO on 25
Dec 1873 in Perry County, IL. Nothing more is known about them.

Henry
ALSTON (son of Christopher ALSTON
& Mary WADDINGTON) was born on 7 Feb 1827 in Ribchester,
Lancashire, England. He died on 15 Apr 1884 in Randolph County, IL.
He is buried in Coulterville Cemetery in Coulterville, IL.
Henry immigrated to this country sometime between 1854
and 1859 and followed Andrew to Randolph County, IL. Henry was a stone
mason.
Henry married Eleanor T. CARR
before 1854. Eleanor was born on 7 Mar 1835 in Alnwick, Northumberland,
England. She died on 5 Aug 1894 in Randolph County, IL and is buried
in Coulterville Cemetery in Coulterville, IL.
