Dennis ran a great race, even though he had a broken wrist from the week before when we stopped at the Spokane skate
park on the way back from Kimberly. He hit the Hay bails in the first heat just ahead of me.
Vernon turned out to be a really incredible time, and more learning for me.
It started out with qualifing, and I had a good run and qualified 5th overall, which gave me pole position
for my first heat, that turned out to be against Dennis the Mennis, Jody (schitzl) Wilcox, and Sean the Green Hornet.
I figured if I stick to my race lines I could do well. At the start Dennis and Jody jumped out front with jody leading,
Dennis hit the hay in tight lefty and I came out of the final tight right corner with so much speed I ripped passed
Jody and finished 100yrds ahead. So then again I had the pole position, and again Jody and Dennis jumped out ahead, with Jody
leading Dennis stayed clear of the hay and coming into the final tight right, I felt I was going to carry great speed again,
untill I realized that I was coming up on Dennis before the corner with alot of speed, I tried to skate my line but ended
up with an overlap to the outside of Dennis and had to dig hard to keep from hitting the Hay and lost so much speed I couldn't
catch Dennis and came third. I had to get second to move on so I was done for the day. Still it was a great day, and again
I learned I need to plan my passing better even if it means I have to brake to keep from getting into a bad possition. Micho
planned and ran an excellent race.
