Disk Defragmentation

By clicking Disk Defragmentation you will accomplish the following steps:

• Select Search from the charms bar by moving the mouse all the way to the upper-right of the screen.
• Type Defragment.
• Click Defragment or Optimize Drives.
• Defragment Primary Disk drive only. Analyze primary disk and defragment if recommended.
• Remember to TURN OFF the customers screen saver and exit all programs running in the taskbar before running this operation.
• DO NOT run the Disk Defragmenter if the customer has just installed Backup & Sharing and is going through the initial back-up. This can cause problems.
• This operation will be performed at the end of the call. Start this process and inform customer that all they need to do is click “OK” at completion of the process.
