FERRY SERVICE TO BORACAY NEWCOAST

The main mode of travel to cross the channel between Caticlan and the island of Boracay is with an outrigger. It used to be that outriggers can anchor anywhere along the ‘stations’ and may even be just across from the hotels. Being that close, it is an easy hop off to the beach.

Have you tried getting off an outrigger when it is bobbing up and down and the landing wharf is 5 feet or more higher? Outriggers cannot dock sideways but must tie in with their front end facing the dock instead. The gangplank is long and narrow and getting off is downright traumatic when the water beneath you is alternately sinking and swelling.

Going directly to Boracay Newcoast from Caticlan is more pleasant as there is an exclusive ferry service for the owners and their guests. The ferry boat itself is more stable and comfortable to sail on and has a dock at the ‘keyhole’ where the landing is low and very easy for passengers to embark or disembark.

As an investor at Boracay Newcoast, the Habagat winds and the nerve-racking outrigger rides are no longer a concern. Just enjoy having fun!
