THE EXCITING NEW FACE OF BORACAY
The leisure and travel magazines conspire to present Boracay in its image of
swaying palm trees, pristine beaches, warm waters and frolicking beach beauties.
Boracay is indeed spectacular but it also has its little imperfections. The beach
at the Stations should be swept of debris regularly. Although it is not garbage,
anything on the beach contrast greatly with the white sand making it look dirty.
The exposed root balls of the coconut trees do not blend well either and even more
so when debris is lodged between the roots. Evidently not enough is being done to
maintain the pristine image of this treasure of the Philippines.
Competition in tourism is very intense especially around the equatorial belt where
there is pleasant tropical weather. Boracay could lose its ranking as one of the
top destinations. But all is not lost for Boracay.
The northeast portion of the island is now being developed to become a world class
destination. Boracay Newcoast, a master-planned development, is well on its way
in helping Boracay retain its ranking among the best of the best!
