The rehearsal was at 2:00 in the afternoon, just 2 hours
before the ceremony. During this time, the flowers, videographer,
photographer, and the afternoon snacks arrived. Then, we signed our
marriage license.
Selena Fox from Circle Sanctuary performed the ceremony. She
discovered that our wedding rings fit perfectly inside one another.
After the rehearsal we took pictures.
My sister Wendy was my personal attendant and she helped me fu fu my dress
before our grand entrance (I was so excited).
During the Ceremony we paid tribute to the five elements: Earth, Wind, Fire,
Water, and Spirit. And we officially tied the knot when Selena tied
our hands together as a symbol of our binding love.
Then, of course, our first task as a married couple was to share wine.
During the ceremony we had a pair of ducks waddle into the middle of the
circle and then wonder on. It was priceless. After
the kissing, we had a receiving line at the park to greet all of our friends
and family.
Next, we took more pictures in the park, and it wouldn't be complete without
a picture in front of the weed harvester. Glenn worked so hard to get
that thing moved, and they eventually moved the machine. However, they
moved it closer to our ceremony location.
The reception was at Fyfe's Corner Bistro on East Washington Ave in Madison.
We had a cultured gathering including African Dancers, Iranian Traditions,
and Mardi Gras beads. It was an evening we will never forget.
