Missouri - Taum Sauk Mountain - 1,772 Feet - June 25, 2005

Saturday, June 25, 2005 - We drove east through the rest of Kansas and Missouri. At St. Louis we took 270 to 55S to 67S to Farmington. At Farmington, we took routes W and V to Ironton, then 21S through Arcadia to the Tip Top Picnic Area where we turned right on route CC which took us to Taum Sauk Mountain State Park. We initially mistook the tower for the highpoint but then continued on the road into the park and highpoint. We could have used some more time here as there is a nice trail to Mina Sauk Falls. We then drove back into St. Louis and got a room at the Econolodge near the arch.
