Robert Franklin Kidd, a son of Thomas and Margaret Kidd, was born in Upshur County VA (WV) Fe bruary 11, 1853 and died in Gilmer County WV June 8, 1930. He was admitted to the bar in 188 2 and became principal of Glenville Normal School
that year. He practiced law in Gilmer County and was Elected to the WV house of Delegates i n 1886. He was elected to the WV Senate in 1898 and served until 1914. He was again elected t o the State Senate in 1922 and served until 1928. He married Lelia Rosalie Johnson November 1 2, 1884. Lelia, a daughter of Levi and Drusilla (Hays) Johnson, was born i Gilmer County abou t 1866. Children of Robert Franklin and Lelia Rosalie (Johnson) Kidd.
