Summary
Although educated as an Electrical Engineer, most of my career has been software-oriented. My background has included work on military radio systems, and military command and control workstation applications.
I am currently employed by HRU Tech (Lansing, MI) under contract to General Dynamics Land Systems (Sterling Heights, MI). This is a great position that has allowed me to use my experience on the Ground Combat Vehicle and Abrams tank programs, even though I've never worked on military vehicles.
I am interested in full-time direct employment in an engineering position that fits my background, preferably in northeastern Indiana or southern lower Michigan.
Specialties: I have used the DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) tool since 1995, most-recently with version 9.2, including dxl script development, and teaching others how to use DOORS.
I've been exposed to several software languages and have worked with Java, Ada, C++, Basic, FORTRAN, and others of minor historical interest. I've worked in multiple operating environments, including MS Windows and Linux.
