November 10, 1942 - Peck and Merridth went hunting. M.A. got a pheasant. Peck got two rabbits and two pheasants. Brought a rabbit to Aunt Essie’s for supper. Dad went hunting.

Thursday, December 3, 1942 - Brockie came home.

Monday, December 7, 1942 - Peck and Brockie went hunting all day.

May 1943 - Brockie came home the middle of May. Went back 25th of May.

Thursday, May 13, 1943 - Mother, Virginia, and I were out to Belva’s today. I took bread out there to bake and sweeper cleaned Belva’s suit. Essie washed. Real cool today.

Tuesday, May 25, 1943 - Belva, Essie and I got our permanents at Pauline.

Wednesday, May 26, 1943 - Belva, Essie, I, Helen, Mary L. went to Fort Wayne.

Wednesday, November 3rd, 1943 - Brockie came home.

November 5, 1943 - Mom and Essie was here for dinner. Virginia, had company from Berne.

November 7, 1943 - Russ. and I, mother and Essie was over at Tills for Sunday lunch and dinner. Essie was sick all day.

May 1944 - Papered mother’s room, Virginia 3 rooms and my bed room.

Friday, April 20, 1945 - Walter, Grace, Russ and I went up to Lake Webster April 20. Come back Sunday, 22nd.

January 9, 1946 - Hair curled, Essie and I at Berne.

January 17, 1952 - Fred Hardy ... beef 60 cents per pound $51.60; 86 pounds
