Ethel Wanna Gallagher,
86, of Summers School Road, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born September 8, 1922 at Pickens, WV, the daughter of the late Robert B. and Ella M. Suesli Miles. Ethel was a long time employee of Murphy
Mart, but most of all she enjoyed her flowers, birds and spending time with her grandchildren. Any child who visited her at
her home always left calling her Mimi.
She is survived
by two sons Robert Gallagher of Morgantown and James Gallagher of Williamsburg, VA; daughter Becky Johns of Morgantown, six
grandchildren Sean Gallagher, Chris and Connie Johns all of Morgantown, Mike Turner and Tina Thomas of Reedsville, Diana and
Wes Jones of Kingwood, Reay Lynn and Rob Gilmore of Morgantown, Bobbie Lynn and Greg Lewis of Morgantown, Michelle Johns and
Bobby Miller of Morgantown; 15 great grandchildren survive along with six nieces and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded
in death by her husband Brown Gallagher in 1972, a son in law Conrad Turner who she cherished, Brothers Clyde and Ralph, Sisters
Edith, Aubrey, Opal, Elsie and Wilma.
Friends may call
at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday,
June 4, 2009 from 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at the funeral
home Chapel of Prayer with Pastor James Cooley II officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawnwood Cemetery.
