My hobbies and interests are centered around making things
with my hands, usually wood being the medium that I have worked in most.
My other main interests are singing and playing music.
That happy guy to your left is me, Robert Heathcock. That grin on my face is because I was able to purchase a Martin 12 String guitar. Worked a lot of overtime for this baby.
Glad you stopped by. I've listed some of my hobbies and interests below as well as a new section concerning my son Brian's deployment to Afghanistan. Sit a spell, grab a cuppa and I'll tell you about myself and sometime I'd like to hear your story as well.

My son Brian
He is currently serving in the Army Reserve as a radiologist in Afghanistan.
Update: Sept 2004 Brian is home now after serving 90 days at the 325th Field
Hospital in Bagram, Afghanistan.
Update: May, 2005 Brian was just promoted to Major.

Wooden Boatbuilding
This is an ultralight skiff that
I built. In fact this was on her maiden voyage. She only weighs about 70 lbs. so she can be car
topped quite easily. Soon I will be adding some pictures of
her under sail as well.

My Guitars
That's my D 12-35 Martin at the left, circa
1973. Soon I will be adding a tour of my musical instruments
that I play and some that I have made. I made a guitar and several
Celtic harps.
