Happy Holidays!
Casses Home for the Gracefully Aging

Here it is again - along with that regular free trip around the sun we get the holiday season - yeaboy!

I like all the hoopla. Interwoven into all the specials, advertisements, blowouts & mega sales is the real thing - more love than we can imagine. The message passed to humanity is that it is going to keep spinning for a while.

The solar New Year - the absolute joy of rebirth - the season cycle - all kinds of new critters - love it when I get it. Hope the Spirit stays with us lots.

Anyone with a new child this time of year is constantly awestruck by the wave of beautiful emerging energies. (I did it 3 times and remember each like it's new during holidays.)

Not-so-new-children (like us) have it pretty good too. For some reason at first, I kind of dread the coming cold but once it's here - how gorgeous, the new vistas and breathing the air is delicious.

Found a note in my mailbox suggesting I pick up a package from the PO. It was from my sister in Alabama. About a 6 inch cube and kind of weighty. Had a FRAGILE sign on it.

I opened it up at my office and found a gift-wrapped box only slightly smaller then the outer box. Light blue paper with red cardinals on snowy green branches.

A curiosity for sure. My first Christmas Present!! I'll prolong the event and wait to unwrap on Christmas Morning.

OK, the trickle has just begun - looking for an Avalanche of Spirit.

Gonna get a little tree
Gonna saturate with light
the strings are LED
they burn cheap & super bright*

I'll get out the old box
that's nearly falling apart
and hang all the sparklies
that are dear to my heart

*(I like the blues & purples best)

I do like trimming the tree a lot. Most of my ornaments are pretty special - even the ones I can't tell from the others (big & little reds, blues & golds) are literally familiar. The wear & tear on the boxes tell me how quickly many years pass.

The individual ones get their due from me as I hang 'em. (and as I take 'em down but that ritual is way off in 2016.)

The most special of course are the ones the kids made when young - stars & strings of tiny pearly beads. Grade school projects, etc. I Love 'em.

Then some old & new favs - several DDucks, a Scrooge McDuck, SpongeBob & Patrick & a tiny perfect green 6pak of 7-Up, und more!

Remember, It's not so much the stuff you get. (though let's be honest here kids - that's always some kind of fun.) It really is more the stuff you give because it grows your heart! (funner)

Scan't weeks to go (it all goes too fast).

Have a great Holiday my dears - Fill it with Love - Way easy this time of year.

Wishing you all Maximum Comfort and Joy

Big Big Love

Chris
