Nona's Worm Soup

Nona made this soup for Easter, and we enjoyed it before the lasagna with meats and the roast. This lingers in Chuck's mind as one of Nona's best, but we never got the whole recipe. Here is the recipe for the actual worms; You'll have to make your own chicken broth with vegetables.

3 cups bread crumbs nutmeg
6 eggs 1 to 2 quarts chicken soup
1 cup grated parmesan or romano
  1. Mix the crumbs, eggs, and cheese in a bowl, and season with the nutmeg.
  2. Push the mixture through a ricer into the slowly boiling chicken soup.
  3. Serve with parmesan and black pepper on the table.
