Shortcuts For Windows
Shift + Delete
: Deletes a selected item immediately without
placing it in the Recycle Bin.
F1 : Starts
Windows Help.
F3 : Activates
the Windows Find Utility.
CTRL + A :
Selects All items or text.
CTRL + X :
Cut selected items or text to clipboard.
CTRL + C :
Copys selected items or text to clipboard.
CTRL + V :
Paste items in clipboard.
CTRL + ESC
: Opens the Start Menu. Use the ARROW keys to
select an item.
ALT + F4 :
Closes current application.
Windows + D
: Minimizes all open windows and displays the
desktop.
Windows 95 : Right click, on a blank area on your
task bar, and click Minimize All Windows.
Windows Key
+ E : Opens Windows Explorer.
ALT + TAB :
Switch to another running application. Hold down
the alt key and then press the tab key
to view the task switching window.
CTRL + ALT
+ DELETE : Activates Windows Task Manager. You
may close programs that are not responding in
Task Manager. Pressing ctrl + alt + delete again
will reboot the computer.
