Requirements: Ctlnet Internet access account FTP program

Step 1: Connect to Ctlnet.
Step 2: Load your FTP software:

Once you start your FTP software, you will be prompted for
information about the host that you are connecting to, your
username, etc.

The correct information is listed below:


Host Name: users.ctlnet.com
Host Type: Automatic Detect
Username: Your username
Password: Your password
*Make certain that your FTP software is not
set to anonymous login mode
You will not be able to upload your files to
ctlnet.com if your software is set to anonymous
login mode.


Click on Startup: enter the /web in the Remote
Host Directory.

After entering the information above, you will be ready to connect to the Ctlnet. server.Your software may have a button labeled "connect." If so, press the "connect" button now. Otherwise you will need to learn how to connect with your FTP software by reading the instructions included with your FTP software. Step 3: You should now be connected to Ctlnet.com. The Ctlnet server is configured so that you are automatically placed in your home account. Step 4: Upload your files. Many FTP programs use an interface that contains the files located on your computer in one window and the files located on Ctlnet in another window. Simply highlight the files that you would like to upload and hit the "upload" button (or the arrow.) Step 5: Once your files have been uploaded to Ctlnet, disconnect your FTP software and check your website with your web browser. Type in www.users.ctlnet.com/yourdirectory to view your website.
