Mostly I just find a small chunk of wood and slap it on the lathe to see if I can find a bowl inside there somewhere.
I like turning the greenwood bowls because the shavings really fly and it is very therapeutic!
I tell everybody my bowls are for M&Ms and Hershey Kisses!
Sometimes I get a request for a certain item or shape, but that's not as much fun;-).
I like making segmented bowls, both open and closed style the best!
All segmented bowls are finished with 6-10 coats of hand rubbed lacquer except where noted.
