Confidence in our judicial system is dependent upon the judges we elect to administer the law. An elected official with over two decades of experience, Superior Court Judge Steve Dwyer, the only sitting judge in the race, has proven himself worthy of our trust and confidence. Judge Dwyer has been a trial judge in our community for eleven years. It’s that experience and teadfast commitment to the rule of law that sets Judge Steve Dwyer apart. In 2001, the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association named Judge Dwyer the state’s “Judge of the Year.” In 2003, the Washington State Bar Association joined them in acknowledging Judge Dwyer’s commitment to the law by selecting him as the state’s “Outstanding Judge”. Judge Dwyer is one of only four judges in state history to receive both awards – and the first judge in Snohomish County to receive either honor.

More than 70 judges, from every level of court and from every geographical region of Washington, endorse Judge Dwyer’s election, agreeing that he has the talent, experience, and sound judgment we need working for us in the Washington State Court of Appeals. Judge Dwyer, his wife Karen, and son David are long-time residents of Edmonds.
