Vegie Burger Construction Kit

There is no recipie for Vegie patties. They
can be made with any combination of the basic
ingreadients listed here. Select at least one
ingreadient from each catagory, except seasonings.
You will want to include several seasonings for flavor.
General directions:
- Mash the beans if you are using them.
- Mix the selected ingreadient together.
- Shape into
patties on a Pam (tm) sprayed cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Turnover after 25 minutes.
Protien, 2 Cups (16 oz)
Legumes of any variety.
- Kidney Beans
- Pinto Beans
- White Beans
- Garbanzos
- Soybeans
- Lentils
- Tofu
Carbohydrate, 1 Cup (8 oz)
- Bread crumbs
- Uncooked Oatmeal
- Cooked brown rice
- Cereal crumbs
- Cracker crumbs
- Croutons
Nuts, 1/2 Cup (4 oz)
- Almonds
- Pecans
- Cashews
- Sunflower seeds
Liquid, 1 Cup or so, as needed.
- Tomato Juice or Sauce,
- Broth from cooked vegetables,
- Water, if necessary.
Binder
- 3 Tblsp potato flour,
- 2 Tblsp Soy flour,
- 1/2 Cup cooked Oatmeal,
- 1/2 Cup Cooked Cream of Wheat,
- 3 Tsp tapioca,
- 2 Tblsp Whole wheat flour
Seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon of one or several.
- Sage
- Parsley
- Sweet Basil
- Chicken style seasoning
- Cumin
- Garlic salt/powder
- Oregano
- Onion salt/powder
- Thyme
- Celery salt
- Rosemary
- Italian seasoning mix
- Chilie powder
- Curry powder.
- Chopped onion,
- Crushed garlic clove.
