My Macintosh Horde

For over 10 years I visited various second-hand stores in the local area and bought many types of Macintosh computers. I had always been fascinated by these unique machines when they hit the market, but just couldn't justify the cost at the time. Now, being retired, I had the time to fiddle with the things and many once expensive models were now very cheap. I could now satisfy my curiosity about the machines without going broke. I took them apart as I got them, cleaned them up, installed new PRAM batteries if needed and did all sorts of geeky things with them.

I networked them, set some up as file servers, installed various peripheral cards and put some to daily use as my "main" computer. I learned a lot about Macs and how they were put together and a lot about their various oddities. I had a lot of fun, learned a lot, and even sold machines and parts of machines to many people in the USA and in several other countries.

Now, I have generally lost interest in "playing" with these machines and they just sit gathering dust and grime in my garage. I want to move on to other things, but I am out of room. Rather that just toss these machines to the recyclers, I would rather sell the lot to someone who has the time and interest to make use of them. I will sell the whole lot for $500.00. The catch is, no "cherry picking" allowed. The buyer must bring a truck and/or trailer large enough to haul away the entire horde (probably a ton or so), along with $500.00 cash (or cashier's check). The buyer must take the whole horde, dirt and all. I don't have the time or interest to test each machine.

I used to maintain a website called Stack O' Macs but it is badly out of date. It may give you some idea of what is in the horde, but only an idea. I will try to put up some more current photos here so you can see more of what you are getting.

Have a look through the photos linked to the buttons below to see most of what is in the horde. If you see enough to interest you in "adopting" the Horde, you can send an email to: .
