I was born to Harry and Louise in Everett WA, the youngest of a large family, I have four sisters and two brothers. My mom stayed home and took care of all of us. That was a full time job, mom showed me persistence. My father worked structural steel, doing layouts and getting it ready to be welded or shipped out to be installed. My Dad had to do most everything himself, so I learned to work on cars, build things from wood, weld, but most important, dad showed me how to problem solve. But the hard work and long days took their toll on Dad and he passed away on March 24th 1998. I lived in the same house my entire life until I graduated from Mariner High School in 1981. After graduating, I moved to Arizona to attend DeVry Institute of Technology and I majored in Computer Science. I completed my training there in February of 1984, receiving a BS in computer science for business. Since graduating, I have had several jobs, but you can see them on my resume page, so I won't bore you with them here. While in Phoenix I met Sandra and got married to her -- one of my all time wisest things to do. She's really great. We moved back here together in 1986, and have been here ever since. We now have four kids. I currently Managing the Information Technology area for PRA, and before that was Director of Information Technology at Regal Air, and prior to that was Engineering Manager on WebLogic Workshop. I have over a decade of experience with iSeries (what's an iSeries? Link to IBM, Midrange Computing, or iSeries Network to find out). But I only work to finance my habits -- spending time with my family and flying. |
