Government wanted the Indians to sell their lands and move to one reservation.
- The land around the new St. Ignatius Mission.
Adrian Hoecken signed the Treaty document that created the Flathead Indian Reservation.
- The man who spent the past 10 years living with the Kalispel along the PO river.
- He could not get the Kalispel proper to attend the treaty.
- His writings say Alexander pointed out the new location, and Alexander was even not recognized by Stevens as the Lower Pend Oreille Chief.
