Rubber Ducky II awaits the 5 minute gun in Havre de Grace Md. 1978
This is what the Rubber Ducky III looked like when my father was racing it in the late
1970's to early 80's. My father designed and built this hull. He won the 280 (E-class) National High Points
award in 1978,1980 and was over the canadian speed record at this very race at St. Timothee, but was not
awarded the record due to not being a canadian boat racing federation member at the time. Whoops!
Here is a picture from Motgomery, PA 1979 or 1980
Thanks for the shot Glenn!
For many years... Actually 2 decades... My father would talk to me about how much he wished he had
this boat back, so through the modern age of the internet, by chance, and a lot of luck I managed to track down the boat.
The man who owned her at first did not want to sell, but as luck would have it he did end up selling to my father and so today
the Rubber Ducky III is at home with her Daddy and builder. James Coan
Yes the boat is the wrong color, for now, but that will change soon!
