However, there is a risk in sending priceless pictures through the mail system. If you do not want to take the chance in sending the images by mail, you can go to Kinko's which give you the option of either paying someone to scan images for you into a CD or rent their computer with a scanner which allow you to scan the images. Also there are some photo processing firms can scan your images into a CD for a fee. It certainly makes more sense to send a CD instead of photographs. A destroyed CD is not as a great loss compared to a destroyed photograph. Please send me an e-mail for my address if you wish to send me a package. If the cost of getting the images scanned into a CD is too high, please let me know. We can do some fund raising among ourselves. The main thing is to have this important aspect of family history to be available to all related family members. Getting images from copies instead of original pictures often mean a poorer quality image . For the sake of getting good quality pictures, I would like to take digital images from the original pictures. I know there are pictures we can make available for everyone. Below, I have pictures but I hope to have photos of our descendents as well. Also, pictures can be take of objects such as Otis' wooden sculptures and can be posted here.
