Notes: Edward resided in Hardy County, (W) VA, but was born in Hampshire County. In 1797 he move d to Illinois with his eldest four children. However he evidently stopped off in Bourbon Cou nty, KY before heading west.

Left for IL about 1797. Among first settlers to Fayetteville Twp, St Clair Co, IL and wher e theylived on Silver Creek in 1803. (FF 9-2, p,47).
