From: Connie Beachy (cbeachy@mail2.gcnet.net) 12 Feb 2000 I'm getting more clear on that Mar y Leasure who married Francis Twigg. I bet she's a daughter/grandaughter of the Jospeh Lazea r who leased land in Conococheague, as is listed in Brumbaugh's book. I also suspect the Jos eph Lazear in the 1783 tax assessment of Murley's Branch is her line, also. Maybe her brother . The Lazears seemed to have followed John Perrin around--right up to Sink Hole Bottom. I go t a copy of the Sink Hole Bottom page of the 1783 tax assessment this week. It's not a whol e lot different from what's online. In Murley's Branch it lists Robert Twigg, Jr., Robert Twi gg, Sr., Rebecca Twigg, Michael Stockwell (who's he?), Hez'k Hyatt, Drusilla Hyatt, Joseph L azear,& Corn's Willison, & Joseph Robinett all in a row. "Two Springs" is shared by Rebecca , Hez Hyatt, Drusilla, Lazear, Willison and Robinett. From inventories ofEstates I know tha t a Joseph Lazear is listed as next of kin to John Perrin. Also, a Thomas Lazear is listed a s next of kin to Hez Hyatt and John Perrin. The Rebecca Twigg that is living near Joseph Laze ar, whose daughter or daughter in law is she? From: Connie Beachy - email 23 Jan 2000 I'm pro bably late with this answer but that's ok. Lucy Twigg married Johann Michael Zimmerla 20 Apr il 1802, Allegany County. Ludy was the daughter of Francis Twigg and Mary Leasure. She was b orn 25 July 1780 died 8 July 1857. She is buried in Bedrord Co., PA, Bald Hill Cemetery, La ke Gordon Road. Children: Joseph - b. ca 1807 Samuel Wall - b. 15 May 1812, Pa., d. 4 May 189 4. Matthias - b. ca. 1814, married Barbara Miller, died 8 Mar 1883 George - b. 1 Nov 1815 - d . 8 Mar 1883 Rebecca - b. 6 June 1818 - d. 2 Oct 1866 John - b. 30 Mar 1832 - d. 28 Apr 1896C onnie
