Basic Handgun (BFI-1)
Now you can learn about handgun safety in the privacy of
your own home. Required reading and
video material is sent to you for viewing, prior to your first class meeting with the instructor.
** A small additional fee is required to cover the cost of the reading and video material.
There are 2 (1 classroom, 1 range) sessions needed to complete the training, following your viewing of the material.
The first class is spent in "classroom" with the instructor, reviewing the book and video material along with
additional law and legal instruction. The second "session" will be with the instructor on the range.
When you are ready for the class and range
portions of your training, we will meet you at a local gun
range. We set the meeting times in accordance with your
schedule, and ours. ** Travel expenses charged for any classes taught outside of
the Seattle Metro area.
Individually you are helped each step of the way, from
holding a firearm properly, to accurately hitting a target.
You will have the opportunity to shoot a variety of
caliber's of handguns at the end of your range session.
Through this, the confidence and understanding of the functions
of a handgun will grow.

Defensive Handgun (BFI-2)
This course picks up where Basic Handgun (BFI-1)
ends. Defensive Handgun (BFI-2) is designed to teach you with your
own handgun more advanced defensive skills needed in
today's life threatening situations.
This course is 16 hours. Actual time with the instructor varies, but as with the Basic Handgun (BFI-1) Course, there
is work to be done on your own. Required reading, and video material is sent to you for viewing, prior to your range meeting with the instructor.

You will be learning valuable information about what you
will go through in a life threatening situation. As well
as "basic" weapons retention.
At the end of this course, you
will be shooting a Police style marksmanship qualification
test.
STUDENT NEEDS TO SUPPLY:
- Handgun (.380
or larger) - Holster (with covered trigger guard,
preferably leather) ** No fanny packs, shoulder
holsters, purses allowed. - Belt - Flashlight - Approximately 500
rounds of ammunition - Ammunition carriers - 3
speed loaders or magazines.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - Completion of the Basic Handgun Responsibility Course (BFI-1)
- Valid State Concealed Carry Permit.
