The week before Easter, we were invited to our friends' house, the Olivers, to
color Easter eggs. We had a wonderful time goofing around with their four kids, Emily, Erin, Katelyn, and Ian.
We often spend time with them and their parents, Aimee and Spencer. We have become wonderful friends and really support
and rely on each other.
On Easter Sunday, we went to church and then came home and exchanged Easter
baskets. We each got a movie in our basket and a lot of yummy candy. I got my new favorite movie, The Phantom
of the Opera, and Brian got Batman Begins. After some much needed relaxation and a short nap, we went to another good
friend's house for dinner. Kedra and Chad made a delicious ham, deviled eggs, cheesy potatoes, the best Jello
salad either of us have ever had, and corn, and we brought the rolls, Martinelli's apple cider, and a chocolate
truffle cheesecake for dessert - it was a feast! Even better than the food was the company. We talked
and laughed, and played with their beautiful daughter, Olivia, and before we knew it, it was time to go home and go to bed!
This afternoon we worked in our garden for three hours. At one point, it was even lightly raining, but it
did not deter us! We were out there until almost 9 pm (yes it gets dark that late in WA) and hardly even noticed.
The garden is starting to come a long. It will probably take a few years to get it how we want it, but it will
be nice to have a pretty backyard - it was all grass and empty flower beds when we moved in last summer.
